Galp has launched a traineeship program for people displaced by the war in Ukraine. Galp Integration Program is the name of the project that will open 50 positions for monthly traineeships dedicated to people impacted by war. This initiative aims to create new career opportunities in several areas of expertise and ensure conditions for their integration in Portugal.
With a planned duration of 12 months for each traineeship (divided into two phases of six months each) the Galp Integration Program welcomes professionals and allows them to develop their professional careers in areas such as Engineering, Data Analysis, IT, Finance, Economics and Management, Accounting, Petrophysics and Earth Sciences, Energy or Law.
The 50 positions will open in various areas of Galp's activity, and the final number of traineeships may be adjusted depending on the interest it generates among the Ukrainian community that had to leave their country after the Russian invasion.
The stipend awarded to all those taking part in the Galp Integration Programme will be complemented by a food allowance and health, covering the trainee’s household, and if necessary, will include support for integration in Portugal, such as assistance in finding and renting a house and support for the inclusion of children in the Portuguese education system.
This traineeship program was designed in partnership with IEFP and is supported by the Embassy of Ukraine, the High Commissioner for Migrations, the City Councils of Matosinhos, Lisbon and Cascais, and the Portuguese Red Cross in publicising the program and identifying potential candidates who may be interested in embracing this opportunity. The Spilka, Speak and Wehelpukraine platforms are also involved in the integration of Ukrainians in Portugal and in the dissemination of this program.
Those interested in participating in the Galp Integration Program can sign up on the program page on Galp's website.
