4th Quarter 2010 trading update - This trading update is aimed at providing estimates regarding macroeconomic, operational and trading conditions experienced by Galp Energia in the fourth quarter ending December 31 2010.
New FPSO lease for block BM-S-11 - Galp Energia, partner of the consortium for BM-S-11 in ultra-deep water of Santos Basin, along with Petrobras and BG Group, informs that Petrobras, as operator of block BM-S-11, decided on the lease of a new Floating, Production, Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessel. The decision was based on the excellent results obtained from wells in the area of Iracema, leading to a potential anticipation of the production start in that area.
Declaration of Commerciality for Tupi and Iracema areas - The contractor group for BM-S-11 in ultra-deep water of Santos Basin, including Galp Energia, Petrobras and BG Group, informs that it filed today, with the Brazilian National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP), the Declaration of Commerciality of the light oil and gas accumulations in the Tupi and Iracema areas.

New well in the west of Tupi confirms light oil potential - The contractor group for BM‐S‐11 in ultra‐deep water of Santos Basin, including Galp Energia, Petrobras and BG<br>Group, informs that the drilling of another well located in Tupi/Iracema area confirmed the light oil potential in the<br>pre‐salt reservoirs in ultra‐deep waters in Santos basin.

New well in the South of Tupi confirms potential and reservoir extension - The contractor group for BM-S-11 in ultra-deep water of Santos Basin, including Galp Energia, Petrobras and BG Group, informs that concluded the drilling of the ninth well located in Tupi’s area, confirming the estimated volumes of recoverable light oil and natural gas in the range between 5 and 8 billion barrels of oil equivalent in the pre-salt reservoirs of Tupi’s area.

The third quarter margins, prices, production and other data referred to below are currently provisional. All such data is subject to change and may differ from the final numbers that will be reported on October 28 2010. This trading update is produced in order to provide greater disclosure to investors of currently expected results.
