We have a responsibility to educate and raise awareness about the energy transition, and to empower and support communities during the transition.

This shared journey is the driving force for the sustainable development of communities.

Highlighted projects

SDG 10 | Brazil Maré do Amanhã Orchestra A project that has transformed the lives of children, adolescents, and young people in the Complexo da Maré in Rio de Janeiro and has become a reference in music education.
SDGs 4 and 5 | Brazil Chiquinha Gonzaga Orchestra The project provides high-quality musical training to hundreds of students in an inclusive way: opening up free opportunities for young talents from public education in low-income communities.
SDG 4 | Portugal Apps For Good Galp and its Foundation have been partners of Apps for Good since 2019 and in 2022 strengthened their participation through Upcoming Energies, Galp’s open innovation platform, with the purpose of promoting the empowerment of the school community through teacher training on innovative educational practices and emerging topics in energy transition and climate response.
SDG 4 | Portugal Future Up Educational project promoted by Galp and its Foundation that relies on the action of children and young people, teachers, volunteers and partners, to bring real positive impact to society.
SDG 4 | Portugal EPIS Scholarships Recognizing the academic merit of young people is the main objective of the scholarships awarded by the Galp Foundation, which in 2022 once again became part of the EPIS Social Scholarships initiative - Entrepreneurs for Social Inclusion.
SDG 4 | Mozambique and São Tomé e Príncipe Educate for the Future Educate for the Future is an initiative of the Galp Foundation, in partnership with Helpo, which allows school support through the development of education projects in Mozambique and São Tomé e Príncipe.
SDG 10 | Portugal Som Sim Zero – Tremor Since 2019, the Galp Foundation has supported Som Sim Zero, a social inclusion artistic project that brings together the São Miguel Island Association of the Deaf and the Rabo de Peixe Music School, under the direction of the artistic collective.
